Brief description

Geographic position

Surrounded by the enchanting hilly landscape of Asolo, Villa Seicentesca is a splendid example of a Venetian period villa.

 

The property includes a main villa of approximately 730 gross sqm, an adjacent country house of approximately 220 sqm and almost 6 hectares of private land, with an Italian-style garden in which there is an English-style lawn and approximately 4 hectares of excellent quality productive vineyard.

 

Treviso and its airport are about 30 minutes away by car (38 km), while Venice and the Marco Polo international airport are about 45 minutes away (80 km).

From Asolo, it is easy to get to important Italian ski resorts (Cortina d'Ampezzo 100 km) and maritime locations (Jesolo 75 km).

Description of buildings

The main Villa, which dates back to the 17th century, was completely renovated in 2001.

 

The building, which has a gross floor area of 732 sqm, has three floors, plus a mezzanine floor and a basement area with private cellar and wine cellar.

 

On the ground floor, there is a lavish entrance hall leading to a lounge with access to the other rooms, which have a symmetrical layout: on one side, there is a kitchen and a dining room with fireplace, while on the other side there is a cosy study with fireplace and wood panelling and a service area for staff.

An original period staircase leads first to the mezzanine floor, where there is a spacious cloakroom with built-in wardrobes and a modern bathroom, and then up to the main floor, which features large triple lancet windows facing north and south. 

On this floor, there is a beautiful lounge, three large bedrooms, including the master bedroom, and a fabulous large bathroom. 

A distinctive wooden staircase leads to the second, attic floor, which has original exposed wooden beams and flat tiles: here there is a billiards and TV room with a small bathroom and some attic rooms, with a good average ceiling height. 

 

The country house adjacent to the villa has been renovated and its architectural features are typical of the rural area.

Today it is used as a hobby area, with a lovely study with bathroom, a living room with two fireplaces and, going up, there is a gym, a bathroom, a wellness area, a large double bedroom, a lounge and a bathroom.  

State and finishing

The property has been skilfully renovated and is currently in excellent condition.

The typical features of the original noble complex have been preserved and are intact, such as the perfect Venetian floor (called "Venetian Terrazza"), also by virtue of the property's protected historical and artistic value.

 

The layout of the windows, including triple lancet windows at the front and back of the villa, is symmetrical, as are the other openings. This feature is typical of the Palladio school. 

 

All the door and window fixtures and the systems installed are new.

 

The skilful use of traditional finishes (in addition to the floors, doors and period coffered ceilings, coverings in Rubelli damask, walls painted by hand by master artisans) blends perfectly with the elegant furnishing accessories: the impressive Murano glass chandeliers in the lounges and the wood panelling used in some of the rooms give the majestic residence a homely warmth. 

 

The country house is also in excellent condition, with external walls in exposed stone and floors with solid wood inlays and stone. 

External areas

The villa and the country house are surrounded by almost 6 hectares of land with an automatic irrigation system. In the area surrounding the villa there is a beautiful garden with an English-style lawn, hedges and rose gardens.

 

Next to the country house and right in front of the swimming pool (made from white "biancone" stone and Bisazza mosaic) there is a covered patio, with a dining area of approximately 40 sqm.

 

There is also a shelter for cars, under which there is enough space for 8 cars.

 

At a distance from the villa and close to the vineyards, there is also a tennis court/five-a-side football field made of artificial turf.

Villa Seicentesca is an important representative residence, characterized by privacy, but not too far from other houses. 

 

The villa and the country house are currently used as a family dwelling, thanks to the skilful renovation work that has made it welcoming and has given it the right amount of warmth, without destroying the original character of the property.
