The village, beautifully situated on a hill around 600m above sea level, was built in the 12th century, and due to its strategic position was used as a military outpost to defend the Dukedom of Spoleto’s lands against attacks from bandits.
The property is just 12km from Spoleto and is in a central location equidistant from some of the region’s other important historic centres: Trevi (12 km) is a quarter of an hour away, Foligno(23 km) is 20 minutes away and Assisi (40km) and Perugia (55km) are around 45 minutes away.

Description of buildings

The historic residence is situated just outside the village, with a pretty panoramic view over the whole valley and of the garden, with swimming pool.

The property, with a total surface area of approximately 812 sq.m, comprises the main residence and an annex.


The main residence is currently divided into 4 separate apartments, but by restoring some of the pre-existing doorways and potentially building a new connecting hallway, it would be possible to use it as one home.

Finally, on the ground floor, there is another area with its own entrance, currently used as an ironing room/storeroom, with a bathroom.
The annex, with separate, independent access from the main building, is on three levelsr and comprises a kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a cellar.

State and finishing

The whole property has been restored and is in perfect condition.

Both inside and out, the historic apartment block retains some of its original features, such as the exposed stonework on the external walls, the tiled roof, the porch with 12 octagonal columns originating from the 15th century.

Inside, there are some original architectural features and finishings from the 16th century: the tiled floors, the fireplaces, certain areas with stone walls and vaulted ceilings.

External areas
